أعلن الرئيس الأميركي، دونالد ترامب، اليوم الخميس، عن “اتفاق سلام جديد” بين المغرب وإسرائيل، واعتراف الولايات المتحدة بسيادة المغرب على منطقة الصحراء الغربية.
وكتب الرئيس الأميركي على تويتر “اختراق تاريخي آخر اليوم، اتفقت صديقتانا العظيمتان: إسرائيل والمملكة المغربية، على إقامة علاقات دبلوماسية كاملة، اختراق هائل للسلام في الشرق الأوسط!”.
كما أعلن الرئيس الأميركي عن توقيعه اعترافا بسيادة المغرب على الصحراء الغربية المتنازع عليها، والتي شهدت توترات مؤخرا.
وتابع ترامب في تغريدة أخرى “لقد اعترف المغرب بالولايات المتحدة عام 1777. ولذلك فإنه من المناسب أن نعترف بسيادتهم (المغرب) على الصحراء الغربية”.
